At Spring View Window and Door our top quality Anlin vinyl windows are made by design to be as maintenance-free as possible, however with time dirt and dust may start to collect. With some simple cleaning and maintenance you can keep your windows looking great!

These tips and instructions are based on a study conducted by the Vinyl Window and Door Institute on the efficiency of cleaning vinyl window frames after two years of outdoor exposure.

Normal Maintenance

• Wash using a soft cloth or ordinary-handled soft brush.
• For difficult to remove dirt and stains such as topsoil, lithium grease, crayon, felt-tip pen, caulking, lipstick, grass, bubble gum, mold and mildew: use the readily available household cleaners on the suggested list below. Always follow the manufacturer's directions on cleaners.
• Do not use mildly abrasive cleansers such as Ajax ® , Bon Ami ® , etc. These or any abrasive materials could have a negative effect on the surface of glass window frames.
• Do not use cleaners containing aggressive organic solvents because they could affect the surface appearance of the vinyl. Examples of such cleaners are chlorine bleach, liquid grease remover, nail polish remover and furniture polish/cleaners.

Suggested cleaners to remove stains from vinyl window frames:

• Bubble gum - Fantastik ® , Murphy's Oil Soap ® , Windex ® or a 70/30 solution of vinegar and water
• Crayon - Lestoil ®
• Oil-based caulk - Fantastik ®
• Felt-tip pen - Fantastik ® , Murphy's Oil Soap ® or Windex ®
• Lipstick - Fantastik ® or Murphy's Oil Soap ®
• Lithium grease - Fantastik ® , Lysol ® , Murphy's Oil Soap ® or Windex ®
• Mold and mildew - Fantastik ® , Windex ® or a 70/30 solution of vinegar and water
• Motor oil - Fantastik ® , Lysol ® , Murphy's Oil Soap ® or Windex ®
• Oil - Soft Scrub ®
• Paint - Soft Scrub ®
• Pencil - Soft Scrub ®
• Rust - Fantastik ® , Lysol ® , Murphy's Oil Soap ® or Windex ®
• Tar - Soft Scrub ®
